Its been yucky rainy in Miami the past few days, hurricane season is here ;/. I was sitting out on my balcony and saw my nails needed some color. I also just happened to see on my Shop.com business site an AD to treat yourself to an at home Mani Pedi with Motives polish...or smoothing like that....So I went to my bathroom and reached for my collection of Motives polish. I really do have all the colors even the discontinued colors because those are some of my favorite colors ;(.... I wish they would bring back. Anyway I use to looovvvve doing my nails since I was a little girl. I always grew long pointy nails since I was 10 years old and polish was my best friend since I was 11, so I been doing my own nails for A VERY long time. But I will admit the past two years I have been slacking and the past six months I haven't even been polishing at all! Ive been soooo busy that I have been neglecting my nails. I have been considering going to a professional but I dislike sitting glued to chair for 2 hours. And if you get a real good professional they will do a full massage and everything & I just don't have patience to get beautified for that long without not doing something else. I use to have this lady come to my house and do them she was soooo cheap $15 for hands & feet! I used to pay her $25 because she would do such a great job But she would take soooooo long it was like geesh I got things to do lady! I couldn't believe how much work she would put in for $15 she truly deserved all lot more. Anyway, I like doing my own because I can get up and do something while they are drying. Yes, sometimes I mess them up but I'm a multi-tasker, so what do it again later ;) Soon I will consider just sitting and enjoying a PRO do it but for now I can just grab my polish and JUST DO IT!
Anyway my nails were looking horrible! So I thought about doing something very colorful and fun & truly my Favorite Motives color SPANK ME ;). Motives has the coolest names for polish. I remember when I first saw the color. I said "this is totally a color I would do" and the name is just too cute ;) Perfect for a yucky rainy day to totally bring up your mood ;) So I painted my nails and my toes. I didn't do a whole PRO job because I wasn't in the mood for that whole process, but I decided to make a commitment to start taking care of my nails like I use to. That way I will start using the tons of Brand new Motives polish I have just sitting in my bathroom.
So here is the pic of the finished look, not bad for an amateur huh? I didn't even file them, I just slapped on the polish! I had clear nail hardener on but I think it was already even chipping lol. I don't even use base coat! And I washed dishes and finished cooking and the pic was taken the next day!
So bottom line I did allot and the polish is holding up great. But for best results go to a professional with your OWN Motives Spank Me color!
