Chuey we have had for
about 3 years. He’s a yorki, I always wanted a Yorki but never wanted to pay a
Yorki price. My boos barber Ozzie cut hair from his house, Carlos would go
get his haircut at his house every other week.
From time to time I would go with him, there they had this expensive
Yorki looking like he came out of a garbage can. Chuey was a puppy back then & apparently
Ozzies sister bought this yorki & paid over $1000 for it but she moved with
her boyfriend or something & left the puppy behind. Ozzie & the brother
were left to care for Chuey & well I think they didn’t care ;( I remember
no one would touch him because Cheuy was really mean he would bite everyone especially
the owners & everyone was afraid of Chuey so they would keep him outside
with no water, no food & his hair was so long he was suffocating all the
time. Its no wonder why he bite everyone. None the less Chuey had issues. One day Carlos went to Ozzie to get his
haircut & while he was there he calls me & says “Hey Annette I’m here
at Ozzies, you remember the Yorki they have?
Well they want to get rid of it because they can’t take care of it. Do
you want it?” I said “for free?” Carlos said “yes for free, they can’t take
care of it” I screamed "of course I want it, it’s a Yorki!! You know I always
wanted a Yorki, when can I get it?" He said “I can bring him with me now”. OMG
& that’s how Chuey came I got a Free Yorki! Chuey came with some serious issues; he
was about maybe a year already. He was malnourished, he needed a serious bath
& he was starving! That’s probably why he bit everyone! No one could touch him, but he was so freaking cute! I love Chuey, he
has gotten better with his puppyhood trauma, he still bites Carlos all the time, he’s always
grumpy, he fights all lot with Austin & he doesn't like Sandy.
Sandy….OMG I am going to cry blogging about her. If you
haven’t guessed so far I really love dogs.
About 4 months ago my boo Carlos & I were driving back from
Homestead on Krome Avenue which is a death valley. It’s a 2 lane road with many
trucks & a lot of traffic take that road. Tons of bad accidents & stray
dogs are killed on that road. There are many nurseries & big open
fields where dogs are left on these farms & no one cares for them. We are on
driving about 35 miles on this 2 lane road & I see this little dog almost
stumbling on the road in front of us. I screamed “Carlos you are going to hit
it!" Carlos slowed down & swerved & we past it. I screamed “OMG Carlos
we got to go back it was a puppy if we don’t save it it’s going to die today!’
Without hesitation he pulled over to the grass, reversed & went
back. I jumped off the truck cornered Sandy & I was able to pick her up. I
freaked out when I grabbed her because she was so skinny I thought she was
going to break. She was so freaked out, she pooped on me,
but I didn’t care I just jumped back on the truck with her & brought her
home. We really couldn’t have another dog. We were really just trying to just nurse
her back to health. About 3 weeks of having her she was already gaining weight
& looking healthy when something happened that Sandy was poisoned outside, she was foaming in the mouth, it was awful, so my teenager Nikole rushed her to the doggie emergency & spent
$200 of her own money. Long story short Nikole adopted Sandy
got her all her shots & spayed her. Sandy will be 6 months soon. Nikole spoils her with toys, fluffy beds &
treats. Sandy has stolen my heart. Shes my grand baby, Sandy is a mutt, a hound & Lab mix
from what we have been told. She loves to play in the pool & swim. She is going to be a huge dog! My dream is to build my huge
2 acre Makeup Mansion Estate in Pinecrest where all my babies & grand babies can run, play
& be happy we saved them. I want to have at least 5 but no more than 7 :)
