Halloween is my most favorite holiday ever! I love it more than Thanksgiving, Christmas even my birthday. I have great childhood Halloween memories. A long long long time ago .......in the 70s back in Chicago I use to trick or treat with my cousins every year and we would get so much candy it was crazy! Back then costumes were these ugly plastic ones with a mask that you couldn't breathe ugh. One year my mom didn't get a chance to buy me a plastic costume thank god! And she made me a homemade last minute Gypsy costume. OMG That was the best costume I ever had and the most candy I ever got when I was a kid! Halloween in Chicago is really spooky, it feels different in October maybe its because the sun doesn't come out much and well yes they do have seasons over there. Maybe its the spirits of the great Chicago fire or maybe all the people the mobsters killed. I don't know Chicago is just really creepy for Halloween but a creepy fun. I loved it.
Miami fast forward I have to still force my kids to dress up and trick or treat. Yes I trick or treat of course I do why not? You can get some good candy and its fun. For years I would get into these huge debates on how we have to trick or treat every year because its a tradition! Anyways thank goodness for my grandson Shaun its not much of a big deal anymore because someones gotta take him trick or treating ;) So I sacrifice all the time and trick or treat still every year ;)
Because its my favorite holiday I just wanted to take this opportunity to show off my talented daughters work. She hates trick or treating but she loves creating Zombies & gruesome stuff. I don't know, I don't get it how its the the same thing but I guess everyone loves Halloween for different reasons, I do it for the candy. But brace yourself some of these pictures are really graphic.
