An entrepreneur is a person who organizes and manages a business undertaking, assuming the risk for the sake of profit. An entrepreneur: Sees an opportunity, Makes a plan, Starts the business, manages the business. Receives the profits.
So when I interview let’s say a Makeup Artist I get allot of "Oh I don’t like to sell" I say "I don’t like to sell either for me I’m my best customer because I use my products & I love them! And they sell themselves; by the way when I do sell I sell more health & nutrition and Anti Aging funny huh? But for you it’s easier because you are offering a service that you can use your own great products & tools and make a PROFIT! But let me expose the TRUTH to you, hello? If you are in the beauty industry offering a personal service you HAVE to SELL all the time in order to make money. So you are already selling ALL THE TIME!!!
You see the opportunity? I do!
Yes I know there is allot more money in selling your service than selling a product. But if you sell a great product your client can buy it over & over & over again and you didn’t have to do it over and over again! You get it?
So let’s say you love Working doing the Art of makeup ok... I can respect that but till when? Till you are 100? When will you see the Opportunity? When will you put a plan in place to prepare for your financial future?
Then I get some that say "well I can sell but I can’t & won’t recruit" Who said anything about recruiting? Hello? I respond "you know more people in this industry than I do so don’t you think that someone will ask" "what's that"? Or say “Oh Em Gee I saw that on so & so magazine or so & so TV show" or whatever and you didn’t even say a word!
I have been getting more at home mommies with a beauty background that GET IT than freelancers because so many freelancers are stuck on that 3 letter makeup company because they give them gigs! Lol sorry that is very funny! Wow Talk about really NOT Getting IT!
