All year long I think about my company convention. It’s so
exciting because it’s a huge event over 20,000 people come from all over the
world for this event. It’s like a 3 day concert so full of energy, tons of
business information & some cool celebrities. They set up fun party nights also it is a blast. Every year we have one in Miami &
one in Greensboro. Where is Greensboro? I know, that’s what I said when I first heard
about it. Greensboro is in North Carolina. The reason they do it there is because
that’s where this Big idea started in a little house in Greensboro North
Carolina now it’s a huge billion dollar company. The International Convention
is coming up now on August 8-10 in Greensboro North Carolina. I was considering
not going this year because of the cost involved. But just last week I
committed to doing some basic fundamentals I have in my unfranchise business
plan, in those little basic things we
should be doing in order to build this business, we need to listen to our business training audios, perfect for
when you’re working out... After my boot camp I power-walk for about another
hour & a half. Just last week Friday I was listening to my training &
there it was the message…..The message was very clear. Convention is coming up
& successful people in this business do Not miss these events. Then I get home
& I see my mentor & best friend Carlos Marrero Motives trainer &
multiple Presidents Challenge winner, he is just so freaking amazing! He is all over my FB & email & is on the MA
blog talking about convention & how important it is to be there! It hit me
again!
My family is stressing me out about an August vacation so I
was debating about not going to the convention because August 12 is my birthday
then August 21 is my grandsons & school starts so early in Miami, August 19
ugh. I was trying to see how to do 2 trips in August, So then it hit me again. I
will have to sacrifice! I cannot afford not to go to International Convention. I am a Leader, how can I keep
wanting to be successful & not go to my business convention? That’s what I
asked myself. It’s like wanting to be a doctor & not showing up to med school! I would be setting myself up for failure if I don’t go. So that was it,
I made up my mind & decided I gotta do whatever I gotta do to make it to
this event. Flying into Greensboro is out of the question, because convention is just weeks away & this is a huge
event so flights are sold out or if not they cost an arm & a leg. This
event pumps over 20 million dollars into the Greensboro economy in less than
one week, wow…. so I’m looking to fly into another nearby city rent a car &
drive the rest of the way. I don’t know if anyone else is coming with me but once
I get the details out I know I will get some of my business partners that also either
waited for the last minute to Make up their mind to be successful or I will
find 2 new GONOW business partners in the next 10 days that make up their mind to be successful
too & we can split the car & hotel that always happens ;)
It’s really going to be a sacrifice but I cannot afford to
let another year go by & not take my business to the next level so I’m
sacrificing & I’m going! My family may get upset but it is what it is. I
have to do this! So either we will have to go a quick vacation before August 7
or it’s going to have to be after August 11. Here I come International Convention
2013 let’s do this!!
Everything we do is through networking.Whether you are looking for a J-O-B, offering a service or building a
business pretty much everything involves networking. I’m always invited to
networking events, I don’t really go to too many but just yesterday I went to
a networking event that I was invited to. I am so glad I went, it was a full
house. So many great things I learned & great things will happen because of
this One networking event. First, let me start with the company that invited me
to the event. I found this company back in May through craigslist. Through this
company I was able to promote my Motives business with my own booth at the Miami Beach Beauty Show this
past May. Best of all I didn’t pay $1000 for the booth I paid a $60 for a transaction
fee thanks to the United Chamber Exchange. Cool huh? I got an instant credit line of what
is called trade dollars & I paid for my booth with trade dollars.When I first heard the idea I couldn’t
believe it but sure enough it was legit I got my booth & participated in the show. So
now I’m a member to the United Chamber Exchange & I get these perks. They just opened up
an office in North Miami & they hosted this networking event just to expose
their services and open up to the community about trading. I know it’s a little
confusing but I think the idea is ingenious, I love it! I keep saying to myself that this
is better than the lottery ;). The offices are fantastic it’s a great location
with that warehouse midtown look, concrete floors, great space with an art
gallery feel. I loved the place & the girls I invited also were impressed
with the place.
The event was already going great, then I ran into a friend I
haven’t seen or heard of in over 20 years! The last time I saw her I was 19....that was a LONG time ago. Can you believe it??? OMG it was like a Kodak
moment. She recognized me I would of never recognized her I thought she would of been still 15. I’m soo excited that I found her
just like that. Just the other day I thought about her & wondered wow
whatever happened to that little girl Anacelis. Anacelis is a grown woman just
like me I was shocked. Isn’t that funny to run into someone after so many years
& too see that they too got older lol. Duh right I’m such a dummy of course
everything is happening simultaneously.Anyway the moral of the story is really that networking is fantastic. I’m
so excited about the United Chamber Exchange membership because I believe that this
network of business people is really going to boost my business & I ran
into a long lost friend that I will be hanging out with this weekend so we can
talk about soooo many things. So networking is really important!
Yes I am, this is sooo true! I love this statement! Being an
Entrepreneur is great, but I admit it’s not easy, even painful at times.
Especially when you don’t know where to begin. For me I always knew I was meant
for something great. So I was always looking for something.So it was no coincidence when I stumbled
AGAIN onto this opportunity. I remember like it was yesterday seeing the
business plan (in Spanish!)And thinking to myself “where do I sign, I’m in”? I
remember I didn’t even have the money to get started but I found it! I remember
leaving the presentation that day and day-dreaming about my future. I was so
excited. We were driving through Coral Gables the wealthy part of Miami and I
remember before that day when I passed through that area I used to feel kind of
down, but that day it was different. I was feeling soooooo gooood that day
because that day I felt that I was on my way to being very successful.I was just exposed to my future to the fact
that anything is possible and I believed it!I refused to work for money again. I changed a lot of things in my mind
and the journey began. My mind has gone into overtime creating ideas how to
make it as an entrepreneur. I thank the universe for this amazing business.
There are countless ways to make money with my business. Where you will never
have to work for money again. You follow a proven system that will GENERATE you
money even when you are not working. But WAIT it is not an overnight success
and does require coaching, training, disappointments, and obstacles! But if you are willing to take some steps then you too can be an
entrepreneur. Yes I admit I am nowhere near where I am SUPPOSED to be but I am
working it and I FEEL it like I have never felt anything else I can taste it! I
prepare each day with the intention of finding other TRUE Entrepreneurs that are ready to make this happen!
Sometimes I find them and they KNOW they are meant for this harmonious blend
and other times I have to show them their true GIFT and reassure them that they
can do it if they BELIEVE they can, and other times its just PRACTICE PRACTICE
PRACTICE. But no matter what every day I become more successful in every
way because I am doing what I need to do, preparing myself for my success that
I KNOW I will achieve no matter what!
And every day I will seek & find those True
